Infamous referee David Coote continues to be the subject of scandal, with it being revealed. That the flour-starred referee told his friends he would show a yellow card before officiating a game. Coote
is being investigated by the Football Association after it was alleged. That he had discussed showing a player a yellow card before officiating a game. The
game in question was between Leeds and West Bromwich Albion in the Championship in October 2019. With Leeds’ energetic full-back Ezgjan Alioski being booked in the 18th minute. The
Macedonian international lunged at Darnell Furlong and fell to the ground in an attempt to block a West Brom attack. Which earned him a yellow card for the challenge. However,
a report from The Sun claims that Coote had texted his “friend” to suggest that Leeds player Alioski would be booked during the game at Elland Road.
The report also claims that Coote texted his friend again the next day after the game to say that: “Yesterday was awful, I hope you get your money back as we agreed,” an
FA spokesman confirmed last night.
“These are very serious allegations and we are investigating them as quickly as possible,” the statement said.
The ยูฟ่าเบท also reports that Coote has denied all the allegations and insists he did not benefit financially from the yellow card in the game.
